Basic Painting Techniques
for the Young Artist

Our Youth Instructor is a recent graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne University in Studio Arts and Psychology. She has a heart for young artists, encouraging them in a most engaging way, to express their ideas: “Painting can be fun and therapeutic. Over the years, creating my art has become an emotional outlet, a way to express my feelings, a tool to explore my identity, and a stage for conversation.”

In this 8-week course, students will have the opportunity to experience art by exploring skill-based art forms and techniques, understanding color theory, and composition. Furthermore, students will be able to experiment with expressive painting and then apply those skills to their art.
